Razer Naga Review Compatibility
The Razer team spent a lot of time and care in order to make the Naga possibly the best gaming mouse out on the market today, and it shows. taken from the Razer website the technical specifications on the Razer Naga are as follows, and I quote:

I have to say on technical specifications short of what I don’t have the equipment to actually gauge the Razer Naga does include everything that is advertised. You can set the mouse speed to an incredibly high level of sensitivity, the response is definitely instant, I can count 17 MMO optimized buttons, and if you head over to the Razer site you can find custom addons for the game World of Warcraft that are of a very high quality.
The Razer Naga does come with a custom driver for both Mac and PC’s, but does not at the moment automatically detect software or firmware updates. That will soon be fixed however with Razer’s new technology that they are currently working on called the Razer Synapse 2.0 which will sync, and update all of your Razer devices across multiple computers. For the moment however you must visit their website to get the device software, and check back from time to time for updates.
The driver which you can see to the right and click on for a larger view is how the driver software look on a Windows Machine. If you are on a Mac you get the old school default themed driver which isn’t as pretty but still has exactly the same functionality as the Windows driver.
Razer Naga Mac Compatibility and World of Warcraft
If you watch all of the videos there is no doubt that the mouse was created with players of MMORPG’s in mind, and more specifically with the addon development for World of Warcraft the mouse was hugely targeting WoW players. Now when I first received the mouse it worked great and still does work great with my Mac and until late into Wrath of the Lich King the mouse worked great in World of Warcraft. After I believe it was content patch 3.4 however the Razer Naga lost its ability to use Ctrl, Alt, and Shift modifiers in the game on a Mac, and has yet to ever fix the problem.
Now the mouse still works completely fine in all other Mac applications outside of World of Warcraft and even in other games. And if you download the third party software KeyReMap for Macbook you can gain control of your modifier keys once again within World of Warcraft so it makes no difference in the end really. There have been several sneaking suspicions as to why this fix has never been implemented ranging from Razer is more interested in new products, to Blizzard broke it because they wanted to give the Steelseries mouse a boost in sales by breaking the Naga for Mac users. My opinion is it broke and both Blizzard as well as Razer should be working to fix it. Yeah we can use a third party software to fix it but we shouldn’t have to.
So is the Razer Naga Mac compatible?
The short answer is yes and it even supports a custom driver for the mac. The long answer is if you plan to use it for WoW you have to install third party software if you want to use modifier keys. All of the other keys working perfectly as designed keep in mind it is only when you try to set shift, control, and alt that you will run into problems.
