Opinion: Reputation should be BOA
Ok so since were making things easier in wow, and they have included the Bind on Account items with WOTLK. Why not cut us a break on rep all together? Why not make our reputation gains rise across your entire account? I mean its not like you can benefit from items they sell until you hit a certain level anyways.
I propose this suggestion to Blizz, because after Ive grinded 10 days of rep with Netherwing, there is no more lore or enjoyment I can get out of doing it again on another toon. Allow me to showcase the achievements of my character’s across the board. I want to be riding through Northrend on my Azure Netherwing Drake with my level 77 alt! It would show others that im an experienced player and not just running the race to 80 for the first time.
No one really wants to go back and grind the old reputation factions over and over on each toon they decide to level. With every expansion those reputations become more obsolete, and less likely to be gained when players simply want to get alt’s to level 80. Players want more time seeing end game content! Not repeating quests for reputation on multiple toons.
The biggest advantage I see to implementing my scheme is that it would help players along in leveling, and for players who never had a reason to improve those pre WOTLK reps, there would be more incentive to do so. As players leveled alts they may see more reason to jump on their level 80 main character, and run back to Zangermarsh for a little Cenarion Expedition action. I feel that this would envelope more players into the lore of World of Warcraft that so many fail to enjoy, or simply missed.
I would also like to see more players go and grab up some of the awesome epics we may never see in the game again, due to the fact they are obsolete. The Outland instances would be fun again while you were wielding Earthwarden through Auchindoun with a PUG group of noobs, oodling at your awesome epics, reminiscing about the old days of spamming trade in Shattrath. As it is right now I will never get to do that again , and for the new players who are just moving through those zones, they will never witness those awesome weapons either!
I know that these Items aren’t Black Temple or Sunwell drops but it would be a nice tribute to the older versions of WOW.

I agree. I am really glad someone shares my view on this. I think I have the best solution and ultimately it would bring about more players spending time on their alts. Blizz says they want to see us players at the higher end giving assisntance to players at the lower end. Well if we spent more time on alts that would definitely be a bleed over factor.

Reputation is a massive time sink but so are achievements. One of the main reasons I avoid leveling alts is because I really do not want to do all those achievements again on an alt. Reputation is quickly earned if the content is new, however being a Death Knight (like I am) or Wrath/BC baby you will be hard pressed to get those reputations.
Regardless something needs to be done, many of the hard grinders in this game will avoid playing other mains they love in new expansion packs merely because they have spent mass volumes of time on an old main. Do I want to farm Thunderfury and Hand of Ragnaros again? Hell no. I don't want to have to go back and get all my glory raider achievements on an alt either, level 85 or not.
