DK Column Writer Returns!?
Thats right folks, I have been gone a long while due to some real life issues that include transitioning to a new university (woo hoo!) as well as several doctor’s appointments on top of major exams and normal life situations! But, all that aside I have returned to write a GREAT column on the Death Knight for Hordereview.com.
Why in Affiliation with TheBNews.net and What is it?
Ok, basically during my period of absence from practically all forms of internet, except the much needed college work, I stopped a lot of my online writing and lost sight of some things that were important to me. However, I have also lost the ability to play many of the video games I love so much due to a very needed life style change. Because of the fact that I am not far at all from graduating college I have decided its time to really buckle down at my new university in order to better my life. With that happening its quite impossible to juggle multiple video games, a loving girlfriend, college, a job, and regular life. So with something having to go I decided it was best to let go of video games, but not ‘completely’. I may not have time to PLAY most of my favorite games, but that doesn’t mean I lack the time to keep up on mechanics and news about them as well as (more importantly) write about them. So as I organized my come back into the main stream video game area I decided to open up my own blog site for the video games I enjoy, while structuring it perfectly to not effect my articles here at Hordereview. That is how TheBNews.net was born.
What is TheBNews.net?
www.thebnews.net is a video game news blogsite that is 100% focused on Blizzard Entertainment’s games. The site will have tons of up to date articles and press releases about every ‘universe’ Blizzard has created and maintained. The site will hold tons of contests (yes, with real prizes!) and will even bring you some special exclusive information you do not find anywhere else. This type of information is target at the players of these games I love, and basically we will bring you one on one interviews with some of the top players from every game Blizzard runs today. Anything from Starcraft:Brood War professionals, to Diablo II Ladder winners! No other site takes the time of day to usually hunt down these individuals and offer them a spotlight, but BNews will do just that. Not only will BNews bring about these exclusive interviews and such, but we will also post articles that review or inform our readers about different news releases on every game. Did a patch just drop for SC2 Beta? Find the direct source of the patch notes plus a tiny opinionated review as well as some direct links to OTHER reviews about the notes. Did Diablo II just release a content patch? Or did D3 launch beta? Or release a new class? All of that will be found at BNews. Now do not fret, we will also be including articles about World of Warcraft (as well as warcraft III) because it is part of the Warcraft Universe that Blizz created. However NONE of these articles will be articles I would have otherwise posted here at Hordereview. BNews will eventually hold an area to post direct links to the GREAT articles that get posted here at Hordereview, inlcuding any extremely good ones written in the class sections. This is how BNews will work together with Hordereview to bring their readers (you guys) ALL of the best, most well written, articles about Blizzard games.
I hope you guys can agree with me when I say that the amount of content that will be available between these two sites will be huge! Contests on the BNews site will begin in a few weeks with giveaways from beta keys to posters and even webspace or chances to have articles of your own posted on BNews! What will the upcoming articles discuss?
Now that all of the BNews business is explained, its time for me to give you some insight on what will be coming up for the Death Knight column. I have a lot of new things in store for this improved version of the column. Below is a list of upcoming topics and ways for you to help direct this column towards topics YOU want covered.
A few upcoming topics:
- Patch 3.3.3 talent and mechanic changes, how do they effect rotations, builds, and overall DPS of the DK?
- DK Cataclysm Preview – This will be broken into MANY articles because of the many changes incoming.
- How does the Cata outlook change future builds of the DK?
- Will the Cata outlook on DK’s be for a positive change or maybe, negative?
- The new spells offered in Cata, how will are speculated to best be used, which ones have the potential to be unbalanced?
- DK’s in the arena, have we gotten any higher in representation? What are the reasons for that?
- DK’s in the raiding enviorment, are we still able to top meters? Do top guilds consider us main tank material?
- The rune changes in Cata, what exactly is blizzard talking about? What kind of details do we have that can explain how this change will effect YOUR play style?
All of the above topics will really hit home to most DK’s. I will be putting up some indepth reviews of every topic to bring you great and detailed information. These articles will probably only appear every 2 weeks due to the length and amount of analysis I plan on implementing into them.
How can you direct the DK column towards topics that interest YOU?
Simple. Post comments on my articles showing your interest in the Death Knight class. Send emails to me discussing mechanics and why you think X topic is a solid article subject that people would love discussed. I want to write articles that YOU guys want to read about. I want to solve the problems that arise for YOU while your playing a DK. I want to help YOU become a better player. That is my main focus with my articles here at Horde Review. At the end of every article I will leave a few signature ways to contact me directly and efficiently. If you need help beyond the articles or want to suggest topics or hell, even correct me then do so via these methods.
