Celestial Steed Revealed Along with Little XT in the Blizzard Store
Well today I logged onto WoW and to my surprise there were hundreds of the formerly mysterious Celestial Steeds running around everywhere. I immediately had to find out where they came from and how they got around so fast, after a little trade chat I was tipped off that the mount is now available in the Blizzard Store for the easy price of 25$. I had been looking forward to this mount ever since it had been datamined out of the PTR files. I figured it would be some epic task to receive the mount and since I am a collector of mounts was anxious to find out what the task would be. I am a little let down that it is purchasable out of the story and feel that honestly its coolness has been taken away that so many people will have it and it will end up being a novelty, and take a back seat to the mounts which were more challenging to receive such as The Reigns of the Violet Proto Drake. Still this is a beautiful mount and is definitely a nice piece to get out of the Blizzard store, here is the description given by Blizzard in the Store.
Freshly born from the Twisting Nether, the Celestial Steed flying mount lets you travel in style astride wings of pure elemental stardust. So saddle up, because this supernatural warhorse will fly as fast as your riding skill will take you, and it will travel at 310% speed if you have at least one other 310% mount.
The Celestial Steed is similar to the Headless Horsemans mount in that it scales with your riding level. For example when you are level 20 the mount will travel at regular speed, once you achieve epic riding skill the mount will travel at epic speed, and once you get your flying mount the celestial steed will turn into a flying mount as well. Celestial Steed is BoA as well and will be delivered to all of your toons as well as any toon you create in the future. So this could be the last mount or only mount you ever have buy which is pretty cool really.
The Celestial Steed was not the only item released today as the premier of Lil XT was also included in the Blizzard Store also along with this description:
“Programmed with boundless energy and a child-like enthusiasm, Lil’ XT, the mini-Deconstructor, awaits adoption by a capable and adventurous parent. Despite his diminutive size, Lil’ XT can still fracture the ground beneath his feet with his tiny tympanic tantrums that discharge massive amounts of electricity into the air. Once activated, this World of Warcraft in-game pet key applies to all present and future characters on a single North American World of Warcraft license.”
