Cataclysm Bag Addon: FamBags
Frustrated with my current bag mods inability to sort properly, I set out on a quest today to find an add-on that was better. It had been quite a while since I trolled through the curse database looking for a new bag add-on, and it was nice to see several new additions to the list of which I tried out about 3 new bag add-ons before settling on the new add-on FamBags. FamBags has all the additions that were missing in old bag add-ons like Combuctor, or Ark Inventory. Personally I am a bit of a neat freak, and I always hated looking into my bags and seeing clutters of empty bag space or even miss matched color indicators of epic and rare loot. FamBags is a new bag add on that was released to work with cataclysm that sorts and aligns your items in a neat and organized manner all within a very clean and customizable interface.

As you can see fro the screen-shot above Fambags comes with a very easy to understand interface that works right out of the box. When you first login after installing Fambags it will ask you if you would like to apply a preset. Be sure to just hit yes here as it is pretty much all good to go right out of the gate. If you hit no your bags will appear empty as it will not be configured to add anything to any of the panes. To start off with I would just go with a preset and then play around with it if you require anything special, as this mod has a ton of customization features.
The thing I like most about FamBags is its default ability to leave the guild bank in place as is. My last bag mod Ark Inventory wouldn’t allow me to check the logs of the Guild bank which was frustrating for me at times when I needed to check the updated info. There may have been a way to do it, but I never figured it out.
It seems like the author of Fam Bags knew what he wanted and did a great job in filling the gaps where other bag addons had previously been lacking. This is the Bag Mod I had been waiting for and is definitely going to be taken up the space in my addon environment.

I us Mr. Plow for bag organization. If I didn’t I might go with this one though. Seems pretty solid.
You could have been using Mr. Plow to keep your bags organized. It’s outdated but still functions perfectly. Doesn’t require any real setup if I remember correctly. Right-click the minimap icon to sort your bags and left-clicking will sort your bank bags when you have them open.
Mr.Plow was a great addon, didn’t know it still worked, I’ll have to check it out again.
